Brooke now weighs 5lb 3.7oz!!! Today was a big day for Brooke!!! She took 4 full bottle feeds in a row without having to receive anything through the tube in her nose (just helping with weight gain), she had her first real bath, and is starting to look a lot fuller and cute (in my opinion)! She continues to work on feeding and growing. We have been very blessed to have had the best nurse, Ms. Anna the past 5 days. She has been a nurse in the Baylor NICU for 27 years and loves her job. Brooke is starting to take the bottle a little better with Ryan and me, but loves Ms. Anna (who she will take all 43cc from ever bottle feed)!
I also had a good doctors visit on Friday and was told I am healing nicely. While talking with my OBGYN I mentioned that I loved the NICU nurse I have. Dr.Hays then told me how she loved her nurse Ms. Anna...turns out Brooke's nurse also took care of my OBGYN's little boy in the NICU 11 years ago!!!
Still not sure when Brooke will come home but everyday she is doing a little better!!! See below for pictures!!!
