Loving school! This year Brooke is in the 2's with Ms.Betty and Ms.Jennifer. Brooke loves going to school!!!She even loves staying for aftercare (to take a nap)!!! Here teachers are amazing with her and we could not ask for better communication. They are also being so patient with our potty training!!! Lets just say Brooke does not love being told to go potty, does not have the patience to stay seated while using the potty, or love to wear clothing after using the potty but we are getting there!!!
Here are some fun school shots!!! (not sure I have ever mentioned this but her teacher posts pictures on shutterfly for us to see)
Reading "Frozen" to Lucky....she is obsessed with Frozen!!!
Walk in the neighborhood everyone has to come of course!!!
Shabbat at school...Didi was there too but did nto get a picture because Brooke was not in the best mood. We will call this the before picture...
and this is the after when Brooke was sent home from school because she was sick! Though she had hand foot and mouth(it was going around the school) but thank goodness we were wrong the doctor confirmed!
swimming with Ms. Patty has begun! Brooke is taking swim lessons once a week until April 2015 she is going to be a fish because Ms. Patty is awesome!

LDG weekend!!!!
Ryan and I recently joined LDG which is an organization through the Jewish federation. The group runs for 18 months and includes 2 retreats and meetings each month. We have already been on the first retreat which was held in Ft. worth and we had an awesome time! We got to meet lots of new friends and participate in Jewish learning and leadership! We are excited for the next 17 months!
Throughout the first retreat we participated in lots of small groups. The groups included discussions, team building, and of course a contest for best guacamole and margarita!
The last night was Kosher BBQ cookout themed western night!
Meanwhile back in Dallas Brooke got to stay with Grandma and Gramps!!! She was very happy mommy and daddy were gone but did say "I missed you mommy and daddy!" Grandma took Brooke to PJ library's birthday bash!!! Brooke talked about it non stop when she got home!!! Last year she ran from the animals this year she was petting them!!! Thanks Grandma and Gramps for taking care of Brooke!
Rosh Hashanah 2014
The learning Brooke is doing at Levine is always amazing but was really special when we started talking about Rosh Hashanah. She was able to tell us you eat apples and honey and wear a kippah!!!
Blowing the shofar!
Making her challah cover!
a visit from the honey bee and learning all about honey!
Rosh Hashana at the Kahn's!!! We decided to enjoy some Temple Israel via the web!!! Love that I can still have a little bit of home for the holidays. Everyone enjoyed...yes including Lucky!!! So last picture of collage is me tickling Brooke's leg... When I was little my mom and dad would tickle my arm during services (I had poor attention span)...well I created a monster because now she is asking for more!!!
after our morning service we got all dressed up for Temple Emanuel Children's Services
first family Shabbat!
I have been talking about doing Shabbat on Friday nights at home but we finally did it!!!Everyone had to have a kippah per Brooke! We had a challah that was amazing( thanks to Andree Postel), candles, and pretend wine!!! Brooke helped us with the prayers and helped make sure Lucky was being Jewish!

Yep, here I am......all I can say is this child is having an amazing childhood. She has one wonderful experience after another. Her hair is beautiful...You and Ryan look great and are doing a terrific parenting job. Happy Rosh Hashanah to all of you! Love you!!
